Prattville’s Way Off Broadway Theatre to Hold Auditions for Blithe Spirit

Prattville's Way Off Broadway Theatre announces auditions for Blithe Spirit, by Noel Coward, which will be presented through special arrangement with Samuel French and directed by Matthew Givens. The play will open on Thursday, September 20, and will close on Sunday, October 7.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, July 15, and Monday, July 16, from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m., at the Prattville Cultural Arts Center at 203 West 4th Street. Please be prepared to read from excerpts from the script.

Blithe Spirit is the story of Charles Condomine, a British novelist who invites the local medium into his home to conduct a séance so he can gather material for his next book. His scheme backfires when the séance succeeds and he is haunted by the ghost of his first wife, Elvira.

Only Charles can see Elvira, which makes her efforts to undermine his current marriage all the more hilarious. How Charles manages to resolve this ghostly love triangle makes for one riotous evening.
