Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- High School diploma or GED required and ACT WorkKeys Assessment (BAT) required(see below) OR an Assocaites or higher degree from an accredited SACS college/university
- All candidates must participate in and pass the APOSTC Physical Agility/Ability Test, psychological exam, drug test, and background check prior to being hired
- Must have and maintain a valid Alabama driver's license
- Must be certified as required by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission
