MILITARY RECOGNITION BANNER PROGRAM

The City of Prattville is excited to sponsor the  Military Recognition Banner Program that honors hometown heroes who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Prattville residents may participate by nominating a Veteran for the banner program.

During Memorial Day and Veterans Day, the banners will be displayed throughout Historic Downtown, along East Main Street and Memorial Drive.

Memorial Day: May

Banners displayed on Memorial Day will honor the men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military. We will also have "In Memory" banners extending up E. Main Street and Memorial Drive to honor those who have served.

Veterans Day: November 1 -30

Banners displayed will be for all veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Rules:

  • The honoree must be a Prattville resident or the immediate family member of a Prattville resident.
  • There is a limit of one banner per service person.
  • Banner submission will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, due to the limit of banner poles.
  • Location placement and scheduling of installation/removal of military banners are at the City's discretion.
