Yes, to ensure that everyone has a great time and space to skate, there is a limit of 25 people per 30-minute skate session.
3When is the rink open?
Please review the schedule open for the exact days the rink is open. The rink will be closed on Christmas Day. The hours are Monday-Friday, 5-9 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 1-9 p.m. The rink will be open from 5-10 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
4Can I book the rink for a private event?
No, unfortunately we are unable to offer private bookings.
5Will there be food vendors on site?
Yes, food and concessions will be available on site, but no food is permitted on the “ice.” For additional food options, explore Downtown Prattville and its restaurants and coffee shops.
6Are there restrooms available?
Yes! Restrooms will be on site in a heated and cooled portable toilet facility.
7Is the ice real?
No, the ice is a synthetic material with a special coating which allows skaters to glide across the surface.
8How old do I have to be to skate?
Children ages 5 and older are permitted on the ice, but skaters under 7 years old will need an adult to skate with them. You may not carry children or anyone else on the “ice.” If you are under the age of 18, you will need a parent or legal guardian to complete your skating waiver.
9What do I wear to skate?
Please bring tall socks to wear under your skates. Socks are required to skate. Other than socks, dress for the weather as the rink is outdoors.
10Do you offer lockers to store my belongings?
No, please leave backpacks, purses, shopping bags, and other items in your locked vehicle or with a trusted adult who is not skating. We are not responsible for items left unattended.
11Where is the rink located?
The rink is located on Court Street near the iconic Musgrove Fountain at Heritage Park. Look for the 30+ foot tall Christmas tree.
12What should I expect upon arrival at the rink?
When you arrive, locate the skate rental tent where our team members will assist you. You will need to complete a waiver for each person who is skating. Please be sure to have a parent or legal guardian on hand to complete a waiver for any minor under the age of 18. Our team will let you know when to enter the skating lobby to get your skates. Please listen for an announcement over the intercom for your skate group to begin preparing to skate. If there are not skates available in your size before the group that is skating exits the ice, team members will work quickly to sanitize the skates and get your correct skates as soon as possible. When your time is up on the ice, please exit the ice and remove your skates to be sanitized for the next group.
