Prattville to Celebrate 6A State Football Championship Three-Peat

The City of Prattville will come together for a parade and celebration in honor of the 2008 6A State Champion Prattville High School Lions football team this Monday (January 12, 2009), announced Mayor Jim Byard, Jr. This marks the Lions’ third straight state championship. The parade will begin at 6:00 pm at the Autauga County Courthouse and end at Stanley-Jensen Stadium for the city-wide celebration that begins at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The ceremony at Stanley-Jensen Stadium will culminate with the state trophy presentation. “I hope that PHS fans, and our citizens alike, will come watch the parade and join in the celebration to honor and congratulate this outstanding team, first year coach Jamey DuBose and his staff, the Pride of Prattville Band, the cheerleaders, and all of the support staff on another fantastic season,” said Mayor Jim Byard, Jr. State Championship merchandise and concessions will be available for purchase.
