Prattville to Celebrate National Kids to Park Day and Armed Forces Day May 19

Get ready for a fun family day as Prattville celebrates National Kids to Park Day and Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 19!

The festivities will kick off with the Mayor’s Annual Bike Ride at 9:45 a.m. Bikers will take off from Upper Kingston Park and continue on to the Chamber of Commerce to pick up our younger, less experienced riders to join in the fun. The bike ride will end at Pratt Park for more fun activities. All participants are required to wear a helmet and there will be a police escort for the group.

Pratt Park will be alive with the sounds of horns blowing, motors racing and sirens blaring with the start of the annual Touch-A-Truck celebration. There will be heavy equipment, 18-wheelers, race cars, fire trucks, police cars and more for kids to climb in and learn about from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Park next to Stanley Jensen Football Stadium.

We also will celebrate Armed Forces Day and will be joined by the Red Cross and local military as we honor those who have served and are serving our country. There will be vendors, information and giveaways, as well as children’s inflatables.
