City of Prattville Parks and Recreation Sporting Registration Fees
April 23, 2020
Dear Partners of Prattville,
I hope this letter finds you and your family well during this unprecedented time in our lives. Athletics is such an important part of childhood development, health, and family bonding. Your commitment to the City of Prattville’s Parks and Recreation Department is imperative to our community and our youth.
The effects of the COVID-19 have impacted so many in our community, state, country, and world. After much consideration, I am writing to let you know that you have the option for your registration fees for the spring 2020 season to be refunded. Your financial commitment to our athletic program is more than appreciated, and we are still hoping to have an athletic season. However, with the uncertainty of seasons lingering out of the City of Prattville’s control, we feel the option to receive a refund of your registration fee is the right thing to do for our participants during these challenging times.
If you would like to request a refund, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department by phone at (334) 595-0800. All refund requests must be made by June 1, 2020. If you request a refund and are in a financial position to donate your registration fees to a non-profit such as Autauga Interfaith Care Center (AICC), Prattville/Autauga Humane Shelter, etc., please pay it forward as they would be most appreciative for the assistance during this time. If you choose to donate, you will need to request a refund through the Parks and Recreation Department and then send your donation to such an entity.
Please stay informed through your coaches, social media outlets, and the City of Prattville’s website for updates on current and future Parks and Recreation athletic seasons. Never forget that we are Prattville Strong, and I hope to see you on gameday sooner rather than later.
Sincerely,
Bill Gillespie, Jr.
Mayor
