The City of Prattville will host a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Public Safety Training Facility on May 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at 290 Echlin Boulevard, Prattville, AL 36067.
“Investing in Public Safety is vital in having the most prepared and well-trained Police and Fire Department personnel. These men and women take an oath of office to put their lives on the line for our community, and providing them with the highest quality training resources is critical to ensuring they have the tools to protect and serve,” said Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr.
The City of Prattville awarded this $3,911,206.00 project to Webb Builders, Inc. Construction is estimated to take approximately ten months from start to finish.
Police Chief Mark Thompson stated, “This facility will house the Training Units for both Fire and Police. Public Safety will train not only its first responders but also first responders from other Departments and hold civilian classes. Chief Brown and I have worked towards this day for several years. This facility is another step to help keep Fire and Police at a higher level of training for the public safety service to the City of Prattville and the River Region.”
