HOLIDAY SANITATION SCHEDULE

 

During the holidays, routes will be collected the next business day after a major holiday. If a major holiday falls on a Saturday, the Sanitation Division will observe it on the preceding Friday. If the major holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. Routes not collected due to holidays will be picked up the next business day along with the routes for that day. To ensure your household garbage is collected, please have all items placed curbside before 7:00 a.m. on your collection day.

  Garbage Collection Holidays 2026:

  • Thursday, January 1 - New Year's Day (Thursday and Friday Routes will be collected Friday, January 2nd)
  • Monday, January 19 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday and Tuesday routes collect Tuesday, January 20th)
  • Monday, May 25 – Memorial Day (Monday and Tuesday routes collected on Tuesday May 26)
  • Friday, June 19 – Juneteenth (Thursday and Friday routes collected Thursday, June 18th)
  • Friday, July 3 – Independence Day (Thursday and Friday routes collected Thursday, July 2nd.)
  • Monday, September 7 – Labor Day (Monday and Tuesday routes collected Tuesday, September 8th.)
  • Wednesday, Nov. 11 – Veterans Day (Wednesday and Thursday routes collected Thursday, Nov. 12th)

 

Yard Trash Collection 2026: 

  • Thursday, January 1 - New Year's Day: No Yard Trash collection on Thursday(1/1) and Friday(1/2).  
  • Monday, January 19 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday and Tuesday routes collect Tuesday, January 20th)

Thanksgiving Schedule 2026:

  • Thursday, November 26 – Closed Thanksgiving (Thursday household garbage routes collected Friday(11/27) 
  • Yard Trash will be not collected on Thursday(11/26) or Friday(11/27) - All residents are asked to place yard trash on the curb on Monday (11/23) and everything will be picked up by Wednesday (11/25). 
  • Day after Thanksgiving Garbage Drop-off: You can drop off extra household garbage at Recycling Center on Friday, November 27th from 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m
  • Recycle Center: Closed on Saturday, November 29th

 

Christmas Schedule 2026:

  • Monday-Wednesday: Normal
  • Friday, December 25th - Closed (Thursday and Friday Routes will be collected on Thursday, 12/24)
  • Recycling Center Closed on Saturday, December 26, 2026.
  • Business routes will be collected on Wednesday, December 23, 2026.
  • Extra Cardboard bins will be placed at Fire Station 4 (820 North Old Ridge Rd.)
