ORDINANCE To Amend the FY2025 Budget and Authorize the Mayor to Enter into a Parking Lot Lease Agreement with Rast Construction, Inc. for Undeveloped Property in the South Industrial Park.
WHEREAS, the City of Prattville owns undeveloped property in the South Industrial Park; and
WHEREAS, said property is not currently needed for public or municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, Spire EnergySouth Inc. is upgrading gas pipelines throughout the City of Prattville; and
WHEREAS, Rast Construction, Inc. has been contracted to complete said pipeline replacement on behalf of Spire EnergySouth, Inc. and desires to lease the property for the project in Prattville; and
WHEREAS, §11-47-21, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, authorizes the City to lease unneeded real property; and
WHEREAS, the City and Rast Construction, Inc. desire to enter into a parking lot lease agreement on a month-to-month basis; and
WHEREAS, the amount for said lease agreement shall be $1,000.00 per month.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Prattville that the FY2025 Budget is hereby amended as follows:
Increase General Fund/ Rental Income $9,000.00
Increase Addition to Economic Development Reserves $9,000.00
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a parking lot lease agreement between the City and Rast Construction, Inc. for the utilization of undeveloped property in the South Industrial Park on a month-to-month basis for approximately six (6) to nine (9) months.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to carry out the intent of this Ordinance.
