The City of Prattville is hosting the annual Wilson Pickett Music and Arts Festival at Cooters Pond Park on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. to celebrate the arts in our community.
Festivities include an entertainment stage with regional performers, food vendors, a kids’ fun zone, and an artists and craft vendors area with a variety of media and homemade products.
This year’s entertainment stage will kick off at 10 a.m. with some line dancing and Zumba. The musical performances will begin at 11:15 a.m. Our lineup includes Taylor Bagi, Lacy Lynn and Todd Fulmer, The Workaround, and Sol Expressions.
Our kids’ fun zone includes several free activities including three bounce houses, jumbo games, a balloon artist, inflatable guitars, and the Prattauga Art Guild’s paint-the-truck activity. This event will also provide several make-and-take activities such as painting records and coloring-free t-shirts.
Examples of vendors include painters, literary artists, sculptors, wood carvers, quilters, bakers, and more. The artists and craft vendor application can be found on prattvilleal.gov and will be open until April 4.
This event has been made possible partly by grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, the City of Prattville Arts Council, and the Wilson Pickett Legacy.
