New Year, New Opportunities! Prattville is experiencing an exciting period of growth, marked by a surge in new businesses and infrastructure projects that are transforming our city. As investments pour in and developments take shape, the community is seeing enhanced opportunities, an improved quality of life, and a strengthened local economy.
Last quarter, we celebrated the opening of 11 new businesses across the city, totaling nearly $10 million in investments and more than 200 jobs, with no signs of slowing down. Whether revitalizing, renovating, or building from the ground up, business owners are laying their physical footprint in our community and keeping our local economy thriving. “Economic and community growth are vital to Prattville’s continued success. We strive each day to create a business-friendly environment to invite local investment. We encourage you to look at Prattville as your next business home.” – said, Mayor Gillespie. The city has several projects on the horizon, from new business developments to enhancements in public parks and community spaces.
While economic development thrives in all sectors, so does the investment in infrastructures and public spaces, which fosters a well-rounded community and enriches the lives of the people who work, play, and visit Prattville. We will continue to improve the quality of life for our residents and businesses, focusing/centering on safety, security, and accessibility. Current projects include upgrades to Fairview Avenue, the new Public Safety Training Facility, Stanley-Jensen Stadium Renovation, Newton Park Tennis and Pickleball Courts, renovation of the bank building, 2025 Street Paving, ATRIP-11 Project improvements on US 82 and Legends Drive, as well as enhancements to the US-31 and Cobbs Ford Road corridors.
The City of Growth. The City on the Move. The City of Charm.
