The City of Prattville’s Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new BBQ Pit/Pavilion at Pratt Park, on Thursday, July 4th at 10:30 a.m.
The new BBQ Pit offers an open-air area for groups like the Prattville Lions Club and Prattville Service League to utilize during their annual BBQ events on Independence Day and Labor Day. Unlike the old BBQ Pit, the new pit has a modular gas and water hookup, along with commercial overhead fans and LED lighting, to help provide more convenience during these summer events. It will also serve as a pavilion available for rent for birthday parties and various gatherings, when not in use a BBQ pit. The new location allows for more greenspace along the creekbank, and a better overall view of the entire park.
