FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 15, 2025
Way Off Broadway Theatre is proud to announce its 2026 season, inviting audiences to “Be Part of the Story.” Each production this year centers on characters whose journeys explore humor, heart, and humanity, reminding us that all voices matter, all perspectives offer insight, and theatre is a shared experience created by all who take part.
“Theatre is built on stories.” says Theatre Coordinator, Martha Wilkinson, “the ones we tell onstage and the ones we hold in our hearts. These productions celebrate voices, journeys, and connections that bring a community together both in the audience and behind the scenes.”
The season kicks off with the hilarious farce, Rumors written by America’s favorite playwright, Neil Simon. Charlie and Myra are celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary and have invited six of their dearest friends to their beautiful home for the festivities. But when their tuxedo-and-designer-gown-clad guests arrive, they find the house empty, piles of uncooked food in the kitchen and Charlie and Myra are nowhere in sight. Soon this classy dinner party unravels into hilarious chaos when secrets, confusion, and the missing host turn a night of supposed elegance into pure farce.
This classic comedy is led by director Jessica Scott. The cast includes: Evan Scott, Lily Farnworth, Mark Sanders, Amy Medeiros, Rodney Winter, Janie Allred, Gage Parr, Blair Berry, and Jeremy Berry.
