Prattville’s Way Off Broadway Theatre is excited to hold auditions for its April production of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire. This production is directed by Kaden Blackburn and will run from April 10 through April 28.
Auditions will be held on Sunday and Monday, December 10 and 11, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the theatre of the Prattville Cultural Arts Building. There will be parts for three women, ages approximately 20-35, and four men ages approximately 25-35, as well as five ensemble cast. Roles will be cast for appropriate ages and all ethnicities are welcome. Auditions will be cold readings and no monologues are necessary.
This classic Tennessee Williams’ play is one of the most popular plays of the twentieth century. Streetcar is about the mental and moral struggles of a former Southern belle with a sad and mysterious past. Blanche goes to live with her younger sister and brother-in-law in New Orleans which leads to the ultimate ruin of this deeply troubled woman.
