PRATTVILLE, AL – The City of Prattville will host its first ever Beats & Eats – Food Truck Friday on March 28, from 5-8 p.m. in the Cultural Arts parking lot, 243 W. 4th Street in Prattville’s historic downtown district.
The food truck lineup includes many popular food vendors who have participated in past city events and a few new vendors making their Prattville debut. The city plans to host Beats and Eats on the fourth Friday of March through June, except May due to Memorial Day weekend. May’s Beats and Eats will be on May 30.
Beats and Eats will be an event series for all ages featuring raw talent and cooked food. In addition to the variety of sweet and savory food, the city is excited to provide space for upcoming acoustic musicians to perform.
“We have a strong working relationship with our mobile food vendors in Prattville. They have always been a wonderful addition to our events. It’s time to give our food vendors an event where they are the main focus,” said Mynecia Steele, Cultural Arts and Special Events Manager.
Food trucks are a very popular draw for the public. This event will especially attract those who enjoy trying new food, supporting small businesses, and spending time in the scenic and historic Downtown Prattville.
Food and live music are not the only thing the event will offer. Parks and Recreation will provide yard games and activities as well. The mix of friends, food, music, and outdoor fun will build that “parking lot party” type of feel for everyone to enjoy!
For information about participating as a live musician or food vendor, call the City of Prattville Cultural Arts and Special Events office at 334-595-0850. For more details about Beats and Eats, visit prattvilleal.gov.
