Prattville, AL —The City of Prattville is proud to announce the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Spillway Park, Prattville’s newest recreational destination along the beautiful Autauga Creek. The event will take place on Thursday, December 4, at 6:30 p.m., immediately before the City’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting downtown. The public is invited to join city leaders, community partners, and Parks & Recreation staff in celebrating this major addition to Prattville’s outdoor amenities.
Spillway Park represents a significant investment in enhancing quality of life for residents and visitors. The new park features a boardwalk overlooking the creek, shaded seating areas, a children’s play area, pedestrian walkways, and improved access to one of Prattville’s most iconic natural spaces. This project reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to creating safe, accessible, and family-friendly recreation opportunities throughout Prattville.
“We are excited to welcome families to this beautiful new space,” said Kellie Carter, Parks & Recreation Director. “Spillway Park provides a unique connection to Autauga Creek and brings even more opportunity for our residents to enjoy the outdoors, make memories, and experience Prattville in a whole new way.”
The City of Prattville invites everyone to come out, celebrate, and help officially open a new chapter in the city’s ongoing investment in parks, outdoor recreation, and community spaces—then stay to enjoy the magic of Christmas in Prattville at the annual tree lighting.
