PRATTVILLE ANNOUNCES 2024 MARDI GRAS CELEBRATION AND PARADE GRAND MARSHAL
The City of Prattville will let the good times roll on Saturday, February 3, 2024, with its 20th Annual Mardi Gras Celebration. We are proud to announce Jeremy Pyles, Prattville resident and philanthropist as our grand marshal.
Pyles serves as Prattville Community Chorus Director, Music Ministries at Prattville First Methodist Church Director, chairman of Distinguished Young Women of Autauga County, and was named to Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Top 20 Under 40. These are just a few ways Pyles serves our community. We are lucky to have his servant’s heart and positive attitude involved in many of the arts organizations.
The Mardi Gras Celebration will include food, arts and crafts, commercial, and specialty vendors at the Partners in Pediatrics parking lot on Main Street and more vendors at Spillway Park on Court Street. Enjoy food, shopping, and children’s activities from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The Mardi Gras Parade will roll out at 2:00 p.m. with plenty of moon pies and beads for everyone. It will start at the Autauga County Courthouse and turn onto West 4th Street, then turn left onto Washington Street, and right onto Wetumpka Street. From Wetumpka Street, it will turn right onto Northington Street and follow Northington until it reaches E. Main Street, then turn right to go downtown, ending at the courthouse.
For parade applications or more information, please contact the Special Events office at 334-595-0850 or visit the website at www.prattvilleal.gov.
