DESCRIPTION:Title: 025-002 Public Works Vehicle Maintenance Office Building \nDeadline: 2/20/2025 2:00 PM   (UTC-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) \nStatus: Open \nSolicitation Number: 025-002 \nDescription: Sealed bids for the Public Works Vehicle Maintenance Office Building will be received by the City of Prattville in the HR Conference Room at City Hall\, 101 W Main St\, Prattville\, AL 36067\, until 2:00 PM CST on Thursday\, February 20\, 2025\, and at and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting shall be held on Thursday\, February 6\, 2025\, at 10:00 A.M. CST at the Public Works Conference Room\, 530 Doster Road Prattville\, AL 36067. \n\nThe principal items of work are approximate as follows:\nConstruction of a new office building including mechanical\, electrical\, plumbing\, earthwork and clearing of the site around the building pad\, site utility connections to building utility stub outs\, and reworking existing electrical utilities. Project shall be completed within one hundred and twenty calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issuance date.\n\nTo be eligible for consideration\, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by the Architects. Bid documents (including drawings\, plans\, specifications and proposals) may be viewed and downloaded through the Architect’s online plan-room at www.sslarch.com by accessing the Info Exchange Login. Questions should be directed to Jordan Staples. jstaples@sslarch.com (334) 263-5162. These documents may be used only for the purpose of bidding and constructing this project. The Architect retains all copyrights and ownership of the documents. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids.\nA certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville\, Alabama in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid\, but in no event more than $10\,000.00 must accompany each of the bidder’s separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. The successful bidder will be required to submit 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived).\n\nEach bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama\, 1975\, as amended\, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license.\n\nThe City of Prattville is an equal opportunity employer and encourages the participation of women and minority-owned businesses (OMBEs) and Section 3 qualified contractors in all project contract procurements.\n\nThe right to reject any or all proposals or bids and to disregard any minor irregularities is reserved.
