SUMMARY:Women in Law Enforcement Open House
DESCRIPTION:The PPD is dedicated to increasing women within our ranks and to help achieve that goal\, the PPD will be holding a women-only recruitment open house event on October 21st\, 2023 from 0800-1200 at the Prattville Fire Training Facility (350 County Rd 4 W\, Prattville\, AL 36067). This event is open to any and all women who are interested in learning more about law enforcement\, how to start their careers with the PPD\, and possibly even begin the application process! No formal interviews that day as this will be a casual event to show you what the PPD can offer and what you can expect with a career with us! \nWhile you’re here\, you’ll meet the brave women who currently serve with our Department\, learn about their experiences\, and learn about equipment used as part of your job as a police officer! During the event (weather permitting)\, we will also hold practice APOST agility/ability tests for anyone who wants to see where they are in preparation for the same test required during the hiring process and at the Academy\, so be sure to arrive in your workout gear and ready to go! If you’re already APOST certified and interested in joining us at the PPD\, we encourage you to come on over too! \n\nAny who are interested in attending this open house is asked to RSVP by sending an email to PDRecruiting@prattvilleal.gov\, but walk-ins are highly encouraged as well!
