City Hosts Wastewater Training
February 22, 2017
On Wednesday, the City of Prattville hosted a class for continuing education hours for our Wastewater Division personnel. This class is presented by Alabama's Water Environment Association (AWEA) was sponsored by Engineers of the South and Jim House & Associates.
The class covered microbiology, controller troubleshooting, logic and safety and lab procedures and instrumentation. It was attended by wastewater operators from all over the state. All wastewater operators must have 24 hours of continuing education every three years to keep their license.
Public Works Director Dale Gandy (shown left) invited City Council President Albert Striplin, Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr., and Mayor's Executive Assistant Teresa Lee to join the class for lunch and conversation. Shown in the center is Jimmie from Veolia Water. We enjoyed visiting with our partners from Engineers of the South, Jimmie and all the other class attendees!
