Prattville, Ala. – The Prattauga Art Guild is excited to host an exhibit featuring the artwork of Alabama Folk Artist Brian Bohanan March 3 through April 10, 2022, at the Prattville Creative Arts Center and Gallery.
Brian Bohanan is a self-taught artist who creates works on discarded objects, which he feels brings a renewal of purpose. A major theme in his work are his “Trees of Life,” which echo the theme of renewal, recycle, and a second life.
Bohanan will give an artist talk at the Creative Arts Center, 342 South Chestnut Street, on March 6 at 2:00 p.m. This event is open to the public and is a great opportunity to meet the artist. Light refreshments will be served.
The Prattville Creative Arts Center and Gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and Sundays from 1 pm until 4 pm. For more information, please visit www.prattvilleal.gov, or call the Prattville Cultural Arts Office at (334) 595-0850.
This project has been sponsored in part by grants from Alabama State Council on the Arts.
