Newton Park Improvement Project Update
The Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce that the Newton Park Tennis Complex Improvement project will begin in May 2023! On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, the City 
Council awarded the bid to Clements Dean Building Company LLC. at a cost not to exceed $3,326,428.00.
Council awarded the bid to Clements Dean Building Company LLC. at a cost not to exceed $3,326,428.00.The park will include a wide range of amenities for people of all ages to enjoy, including renovation of existing tennis courts, playground upgrade, additional 5 new tennis courts, parking lot upgrades, 4 new Pickleball courts, upgraded restrooms facilities, and a skate park area.
This project has been in the planning stages for months, and we're thrilled to see it finally come to fruition. Once construction begins, the contractor will have 240 consecutive days to complete the project.
