Contractor prequalification is not required to bid on the project; however\, the award of the contract will not be made to any bidder who\, at the time of the award\, is considered by the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) to be disqualified from bidding\, nor to any bidder who is an affiliate of or has a corporate officer\, director or principal owner who is a cooperate officer director\, or owner of\, another person who is presently disqualified by ALDOT. Further details and definitions regarding this provision are included in the project specifications. In order to comply with the requirements of the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act\, Act No. 2011-535\, and Act 2012-491\, bidders must comply with Section 31-13-9\, Code of Alabama\, 1975\, as amended. This is a federally funded project. CST at the Public Works Conference Room\, 530 Doster Road Prattville\, AL 36067. \n\nThe principal items of work are approximate as follows:\nConstruction of a new office building including mechanical\, electrical\, plumbing\, earthwork and clearing of the site around the building pad\, site utility connections to building utility stub outs\, and reworking existing electrical utilities. Project shall be completed within one hundred and twenty calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issuance date.\n\nTo be eligible for consideration\, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by the Architects. Bid documents (including drawings\, plans\, specifications and proposals) may be viewed and downloaded through the Architect’s online plan-room at www.sslarch.com by accessing the Info Exchange Login. The Architect retains all copyrights and ownership of the documents.
