DESCRIPTION:Description \n\nSealed bids for the Renovations to the First Floor at 124 W. Main Street will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Prattville in the Council Chambers at City Hall\, 101 W Main St\, Prattville\, AL 36067\, until 2:00 PM CDT on September 3\, 2026\, at which time publicly opened and read aloud at said location. \nA Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting shall be held on August 20\, 2026\, at 10:00 AM CDT in the Council Chambers at City Hall. General contractors are encouraged to visit the site and examine conditions before submitting a proposal. Site visits can also be made by appointment by emailing amy.hilliard@prattvilleal.gov. \nThe principal items of work are approximately as follows: \nDemolition\, new interior stud framing walls\, exterior steel framing for a new door\, flooring\, painting\, mechanical\, plumbing\, and electrical work. \nThe project shall be completed within 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issuance date.\nThis project shall be bid excluding taxes. To be eligible for consideration\, bids must be submitted on a complete original proposal made available by the Architects. Bid documents (including drawings\, plans\, specifications\, and proposals) may be accessed by emailing the Architect at vanessa.newton@nasarchi.com\, for a link to the bid package. Note in the subject line of the email “Project CB”. Documents published through this procedure are the only documents endorsed by the Architect. The Architect retains ownership and copyrights of the documents. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. All RFIs regarding the bid documents shall be collected into the RFI LOG located in the folder\, then emailed to the Architect. All RFIs must be submitted no later than August 21\, 2026\, at 5:00 PM CDT. The Architect will not accept inquiries via telephone or fax. \nA certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville\, Alabama\, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid\, but in no event more than $10\,000.00\, must accompany each of the bidder’s separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived). \nEach bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama\, 1975\, as amended\, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license. \nThe City of Prattville is an equal opportunity employer. In order to comply with the requirements of the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act\, Act No. 2011-535\, and Act 2012-491\, bidders must comply with Section 31-13-9\, Code of Alabama\, 1975\, as amended. \nThe right to reject any or all proposals or bids and to disregard any minor irregularities is reserved. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety days from the date set for receiving the bids. \nAll bids and proposals SHALL be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder\, Bidder’s license number\, license expiration date\, category\, address\, and name of the project.
