SUMMARY:026-001 Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting Laney Drive Extension
DESCRIPTION:Sealed bids for Laney Drive Extension – Bid No.: 026-001 will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Prattville in the Council Chambers at City Hall\, 101 W. Main Street\, Prattville\, AL 36067 until 9:00 AM CST\, Thursday\, April 9\, 2026\, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location. \nA Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall\, 101 West Main Street\, Prattville\, Alabama 36067\, on Tuesday\, March 31\, 2026\, at 9:00 AM CST. \nThe Project will include:\nAsphalt demolition and removal; Roadway construction; storm drain improvements; concrete sidewalk improvements\, & encasements for future utilities. NOTE: All item bids are complete in place. \nThe entire project shall be completed in one hundred fifty (150) calendar days \nTo be eligible for consideration\, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available at the office of Larry E. Speaks and Associates\, Inc.\, located at 535 Herron Street\, Montgomery\, AL\, or by calling 334-262-1091. Hard copies of documents are available for $150.00 for each set. Upon returning the contract documents promptly and in good condition following the bid\, $75.00 will be refunded to the Bidder. No bid documents will be distributed later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. \nA certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville\, Alabama\, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid\, but in no event more than $10\,000.00\, must accompany each of the bidder’s separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived). \nEach bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama\, 1975\, as amended\, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license. \nThe City of Prattville is an equal opportunity employer. The right to reject any or all proposals or bids and to disregard any minor irregularities is reserved. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days from the date set for receiving the bids. \nAll bids and proposals SHALL be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder\, Bidder’s license number\, license expiration date\, category\, address\, and name of the project.
