DESCRIPTION:Title: 025-014 Engineering Building Addition Project \nDeadline: 12/4/2025 2:00 PM   (UTC-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) \nStatus: Open \nSolicitation Number: 025-014 \nDescription: Sealed bids for the Engineering Building Addition Project will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Prattville in the Council Chambers at City Hall\, 101 W Main St\, Prattville\, AL 36067\, until 2:00 PM CST on Thursday\, December 4\, 2025\, at which time publicly opened and read aloud at said location. \nA Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting shall be held on Tuesday\, November 18\, 2025\, at 10:00 A.M. CST in the Council Chambers at City Hall. \nThe principal items of work are approximate as follows: \n1\,000 square foot addition to the Street Department Facility with a program of three offices and a conference room. There is an additive alternate for a pre-fabricated canopy adjacent to the vehicle shop. The construction and materials largely match those of the existing facility and include a pre-engineered metal building structure\, metal stud framing\, hardie board siding\, and adhered stone veneer. \nProject shall be completed within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issuance date. \n\nTo be eligible for consideration\, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by the Architects. Bid documents (including drawings\, plans\, specifications and proposals) may be viewed and downloaded through the Architect’s online plan-room at www.sslarch.com/aboutus by accessing the Info Exchange Login. The Architect retains all copyrights and ownership of the documents. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. \nA certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville\, Alabama in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid\, but in no event more than $10\,000.00 must accompany each of the bidder’s separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived). \nEach bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama\, 1975\, as amended\, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license. \nThe City of Prattville is an equal opportunity employer.
