DESCRIPTION:Title: 024-014 Council Chambers Renovations\nUpdate 11/5/24: Rescheduled for 11/12/24 at 2:00 pm \nDeadline: 11/7/2024 2:00 PM   (UTC-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) \nStatus: Open \nSolicitation Number: 024-014 \nDescription: Sealed bids for the Council Chambers Renovations – Bid No.: 024-014 will be received by the City of Prattville in the Council Chambers at City Hall\, 101 West Main Street\, Prattville\, AL 36067\, until 2:00 p.m. CST on Thursday\, November 7\, 2024\, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location. \nThe project is estimated to cost $450\,000.00. The amount shown is only to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project’s complexity and size. This amount should not be used in preparing a bid\, nor will it have any bearing on the decision to award the contract. The work of constructing the project will be let under one contract. \nA Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Thursday\, October 24\, 2024\, at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall at 101 W Main Street\, Prattville\, AL 36067. \nThe principal items of work are approximate as follows: \nWork will consist of interior renovation to the City Hall Council Chambers; a one-story space of an approximate existing 1\,935 sqft. Work includes selective demolition\, new interior partitions\, custom casework\, acoustical tile ceilings\, new carpet tile floor finishes\, wall hard tile\, new lighting\, power and data. \nThe entire project shall be completed in 120 calendar days. \n\nGuarantee will be required with each bid for at least 5% of the amount of the bid filed in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville. Bid Bonds shall include certification that the bonding company is listed in Circular 570 of the U.S. Treasury Department. Each bidder must submit with their bid\, security in the amount\, form\, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond.\nThe City of Prattville is required to comply with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act\, §31-13-1 et seq. of Code of Alabama 1975\, as amended\, subsequently all bidders are required to submit an E-Verify Affidavit stating they are enrolled in the E-Verify Program.\nEach bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama 1975\, as amended and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license. The successful bidder is required to carry Workmen’s Compensation Insurance and Public Liability Insurance\, and if a subcontractor is employed\, Contractor’s Contingent Liability Insurance.\nThe City of Prattville is an equal opportunity employer and encourages the participation of women and minority owned businesses (WMBEs) and Section 3 qualified contractors in all project contract procurements.\nThe right to reject any or all bids or proposals and to disregard any minor irregularities is reserved.
