The Way Off Broadway Theatre, located in downtown Prattville, is proud to announce the opening of their latest play, “Steel Magnolias”, Thursday, June 9th. The play will be in production on Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm through June 26, 2011.

“Steel Magnolias” is one of the most loveable Southern plays that show the strength and vulnerability of everyday women, and their courage to overcome difficult obstacles in their lives. This all female cast will have you crying one minute and laughing hysterically the next.

"As one of the most successful shows staged at Way Off Broadway Theatre, we are pleased to once again be able to share this amazing production with our audience,” said Stacey Little, President of the Way Off Broadway Theatre.

“I’m thrilled to be working with our talented cast and crew on such a touching and funny play by Robert Harling. This show has become a beloved classic for audiences around our area and around the world”, said Kristen Koehler, Director of Steel Magnolias. “I’m grateful for this opportunity to work with the Way Off Broadway Theatre Board, the City of Prattville, and the Prattville Creative and Cultural Arts Council. I think our audiences are in for a real treat.”
