The Way Off Broadway Theatre will holds its Summer Youth Theatre Camp June 22-27, 2015, in Prattville. This fun theatre camp will teach theatre basics, including acting, directing, production, costuming, and more, and is great for children in grades K-12.

This year's camp will culminate with a production of the play The Pint Sized Pirate, by Doug Larson and with permission from Doug Larson and freedrama.net. Directing the play and the camp is Joyce Bamman of Troy University, assisted by Samantha Scheler.

"This camp not only teaches about the different aspects of the theatre, but it also helps to boost self-confidence and teaches teamwork," according to Barbara Simpson of the Cultural Arts and Special Events Office for the City of Prattville.

The camp will meet from 10am-3pm Monday through Friday, June 22-26, and the students will present their play, The Pint Sized Pirate, on Saturday, June 27. The cost is $75. Space is limited and reservations are required. For more information or to register for the camp contact the Prattville Special Events Office at 334/595-0854.
