City of Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie has coordinated the SR206 Bridge opening with Alabama Department of Transportation Media Relations Bureau Chief Tony Harris.

“I’m excited to announce that after almost a year, the 4th Street Bridge will finally re-open,” stated Mayor Bill Gillespie. “I know that many of the residents of our fine city will be elated at the news.”

Reverend Algie Morgan will offer a prayer over the bridge prior to the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Mayor Gillespie welcomes anyone who would like to join him at this auspicious occasion. Citizens may park at the Cultural Arts Center at 203 West 4th Street and walk down to the bridge.
