As a mark of respect to honor the life and memory of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, and at the direction of President Barack Obama, flags at all City facilities will be flown at half-staff until sunset on Sunday, August 30, 2009.

“Senator Kennedy, a stalwart of the United States Senate, is remembered for his leadership and public service over the past half century,” said Mayor Jim Byard, Jr. “The citizens of the City of Prattville join me in remembering Senator Kennedy and extend our sympathies to the Kennedy family,” he continued.
