Tuesday, December 17 – A Main Street Christmas in Prattville’s Historic Downtown District.

The 4th Annual Main Street Christmas event will be held on Tuesday, December 17, in the historic Downtown District along Main Street from 5-7:30 p.m. This is the fourth year that the City of Prattville has partnered with the Chamber of Commerce and the merchants of downtown for this fun, family-friendly event.

There will be horse-drawn carriage rides, caroling with the Prattville Community Chorus, a free children’s art project with the Prattauga Art Guild, and readings of ‘twas the Night Before Christmas by Way Off Broadway Theatre board member Janie Allred. And don’t forget to visit with Santa in the Creek Walk Garden and tell him your Christmas wish!

Have your picture made at the festive photo area by the fountain by photographer Keith Farrar or take your own family photos in the giant snow globe by City Hall. There are a myriad of photograph opportunities through the downtown area that are perfect for your Christmas memory book or card.

The Chamber of Commerce will have hot chocolate and cookies and will give away a “Love What’s Local” basket filled with a variety of items from downtown merchants and cash! Get an entry for the prize with receipts from each different store that you visit.

Merchants in the Downtown District will be open late for your Christmas shopping needs and if you are hungry or thirsty, there will be several businesses open for a meal, snack, or beverage.
