Prattville Farmers’ Market to Open June 2

Come out and join us as we celebrate the Grand Opening of the Prattville Farmers Market on Saturday, June 2, at 7:00 a.m. The market will feature fresh locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs, along with local honey, baked goods, handmade soaps, plants and more!

Auburn University’s Nutrition, Dietetics and Hospitality Management department will prepare dishes with ingredients from growers at the market and will provide recipes and nutritional information. Local musical talent Charlie Lucky Stephens will be there with his guitar to perform for us live and Autauga EMA will talk about the importance of healthy eating and exercise. Bama Country Radio will help us celebrate our grand opening with a live remote, so come out and enjoy music, fresh produce and fun!

Throughout the season, we will have guest chefs to create tasty dishes with items from our growers, live music by local and regional musicians, surprise giveaways, artists painting on site, guest speakers, and more. You can follow the Prattville Farmers Market Facebook page to find out what will be happening each week.

The Prattville Farmers Market is conveniently located off Doster Road just a few blocks off Main Street. The market is in the Grove across from Gillespie Senior Center and Pratt Park with the Splash Pad, children’s play area, pond, pool and picnic areas which makes it a wonderful place for a family outing.

The Prattville Farmers Market will be held every Saturday from June 2 through August 25, 2018, from 7:00 a.m. until 12 noon. For more information about the Prattville Farmers Market, contact the Special Events office at 334/595-0854 or visit the website at
