 Candy Walk Cancelled

For many years, the City of Prattville has been proud to host its Annual Candy Walk for children from toddlers through third grade. Participation in the Candy Walk well exceeds 1000 children, in addition to the families and friends that join them for this exciting event. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the state health officer's current order, we would not be able to ensure appropriate social distancing with such a large gathering. Unfortunately, under these circumstances, we are unable to host our Annual Candy Walk this year due to the potential health risk posed to our community.

Although the 2020 Annual Candy Walk is canceled, the 2nd Annual Parade of Pumpkins is scheduled to kick off October 22, 2020, and run through November 1, 2020. This family-friendly event will embrace our community's creativity and allow families and friends to eat, shop, and explore downtown while enjoying the fall season. It is never too early to plan what your pumpkin will look like in the parade this year. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon about the 2nd Annual Parade of Pumpkins!

We plan for the Annual Candy Walk to resume in 2021 and look forward to providing a safe and healthy environment for our young trick-or-treaters to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you then, and we hope you choose to participate in the 2nd Annual Parade of Pumpkins this year. Stay up to date on these events and more by following the City of Prattville's website, , and social media accounts. ###
