At the second City Council meeting each month, our Finance Director delivers a written and verbal recount of the City's financial status. These are the preliminary revenue figures for November 2017 (which is actually October's revenue collected in the month of November).

There was a 4.49% increase in gross tax receipts totaling $94,047.27. Excluding the limited duration sales tax collected, there was a 4.95% increase in gross tax receipts totaling $80,297.02.

There was a 4.67% increase in net taxes of $94,988.82. Without the sales tax increase, we reflect a 5.16% increase in net taxes of $80,931.88.

This month, the sales tax increase generated an additional $487,596.28. A check in this amount was cut and deposited into the debt service reserve account on December 11, 2017. Thus far, the sales tax increase has generated an additional $37,993,311.39 and in that same time period (less one month as the transfers to the debt service reserve account are made one month in arrears), the City of Prattville has paid $38,341,501.87 toward our debt service.

The Lodging Fee Revenue for the month was $39,108.00.
