New Outdoor Warning Siren Installed in Autauga County

November 3, 2011

PRATTVILLE - In May 2011, Autauga County EMA was awarded a grant to install an outdoor warning siren close to Marbury High School. The siren has been installed at the junction of Highway 31 and County Road 59, just north of Marbury High School.

Autauga County EMA would like to inform the citizen and businesses in the area that the sirens are tested on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00am. If thunderstorms or serious weather conditions are present, the test will be cancelled.

In the event of a tornado warning, the outdoor warning siren will be activated according to the warning polygon issued by the National Weather Service in Birmingham, Alabama. If the siren in this area goes off, please take appropriate actions immediately. For questions or concerns contact, Autauga EMA at 334-361-3758
