At the second City Council meeting each month, our Finance Director delivers a written and verbal recount of the City's financial status. These are the preliminary revenue figures for March 2017 (which is actually February's revenue collected in the month of March).

There was a 9.47% decrease in gross tax receipts totaling $202,978.66. Excluding the limited duration sales tax collected, there was a 9.15% decrease in gross tax receipts totaling $150,135.39.

There was a 9.60% decrease in net taxes of $199,498.59. Without the sales tax increase, we reflect a 9.25% decrease in net taxes of $146,656.35.

This month, the sales tax increase generated an additional $449,358.25. A check in this amount was cut and deposited into the debt service reserve account on April 10, 2017. Thus far, the sales tax increase has generated an additional $33,918,783.88 and in that same time period, the City of Prattville has paid $34,305,212.39 toward our debt service.

The Lodging Fee Revenue for the month was $22,167.00.
