The City of Prattville has announced that local restaurant owner, Cindy Stephens, will serve as this year’s grand marshal for the city’s annual Christmas parade, scheduled for Saturday, December 3rd at 4:30pm. This year’s theme is “Cooking up a Christmas to Remember,” and serves as a kickoff for the 2012 year of Food.

Stephens, owner of the Pasta Pizzeria & Grill in historic, downtown Prattville, was nominated for hosting Thanksgiving at her restaurant for all the Police and Firefighters as well as any elderly age 60 and older so that they all have a Thanksgiving Meal, free of charge.

The parade route will begin at the Autauga County Courthouse, turning left on 4th Street. The entries will then turn left onto Washington and right on Wetumpka Street. The parade will then turn right on Northington Street and continue to Main Street, where the entries will continue through the downtown area. The parade will end at the Autauga County Courthouse.

Applications for this year’s parade are available on the event page. For more information, call the Special Events Office at 358-0297.
