The City of Prattville has announced that this year's 4th of July Parade theme is once again "Salute to Honored Veterans, Heroes in our Hearts". In appreciation for their service to our country, the Prattville Independence Day Celebration Committee is honoring all Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veterans as Grand Marshals at this year's Independence Day Parade and Fireworks Event to be held on Saturday, July 4th. Vehicles will be provided for those who would like to participate in the parade and a special section will be designated on the field at Stanley Jensen Stadium for honored veterans at the fireworks event. All Veterans wishing to take part in the Prattville Independence Day events need to make reservations by June 18th. Please contact our Special Events Office at (334) 595-0851 to RSVP.

The Independence Day parade will be held on Saturday, July 4th at 9:00 a.m. The parade starts at the Autauga County Courthouse and will end at Stanley-Jensen Stadium. Children (and adults) on bikes, tricycles and scooters are also invited to participate in this family-fun parade.

Other events included in the Independence Day festivities are the City's annual "Cardboard Boat Races" and the "Lion's Club Bar-B-Q and Camp Stew Sale." These events start at 10:00 a.m. and are held at Pratt Pool and Pratt Park, respectively.

The annual fireworks presentation will be held at Stanley-Jensen Stadium. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with live entertainment and a patriotic program. Fireworks begin at dark. The admission to this spectacular event is FREE and the public is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. NO pets, glass, or bottles will be allowed on the field.
