Prattville City Council Declares District 5 Seat Vacant

Former District 5 City Councilor Clyde Chambliss was recently elected to be the District 30 Senator for the State of Alabama leaving a vacancy on the Prattville City Council. At the November 18th City Council meeting, Councilors adopted a resolution to officially declare the District 5 seat vacant.

The Prattville City Council will accept letters of intent and resumes from qualified district applicants from December 1st through 5 p.m. on December 15th. Letters of intent and a one-page resume outlining interest, background, and community involvement must be submitted to our City Clerk for consideration.

Interviews will be scheduled for Monday, January 5th at Doster Community Center. The first interview will be held at 6 p.m. and subsequent interviews will be held in 15-minute intervals.
