The City of Prattville has finalized plans for the 6th annual Mayor’s Bike Ride and the 8th annual Touch a Truck events. Both will take plan on Saturday, May 20, in conjunction with National Kids to Park Day.

The Mayor’s Bike Ride will begin at 9:45am at Upper Kingston Park for riders 8 years and older. This year, children 7 and under will join the ride from the Chamber of Commerce and everyone will end at Pratt Park. There will be a police escort to ensure the safety of our riders and everyone must wear a helmet. Online registration for the bike ride is available below and on our event page.

Police cars, fire trucks, dump trucks, racecars, garbage trucks and more will be onsite at Pratt Park for children of all ages to explore and learn about. From honking the horns to revving the engines, there will be something for every boy and girl to enjoy.

National Kids to Park Day was organized and launched by the National Park Trust and encourages children and their families to get outdoors and visit America’s parks. This event also encourages children to lead a more active lifestyle and broaden their appreciation for nature and the outdoors.

Admission is free and the events are open to the public. For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (334) 595-0800.
