For the 5th year, the City of Prattville is joining Nickelodeon, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition, and the National Park Foundation in celebrating the Worldwide Day of Play event.

Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr. has issued a proclamation recognizing September 26, 2015 as the Worldwide Day of Play in Prattville, Alabama. In addition to the proclamation, we will be holding a fun event for the children at the Pratt Park Amphitheatre.

The Parks and Recreation Department has planned another fun event that will encourage kids to get up and get active during the Worldwide Day of Play event in the City of Prattville! The Prattville Games will include relay courses and medals will be provided in different categories much like the Olympic Games. These relays will be open for ages groups K-2nd grade, 3rd-4th grade, and 5th- 6th grade.

The event will take place at the Amphitheatre at Pratt Park from 2pm-5pm. Children must be on site at 2pm for the event to begin. After the awards, everyone is invited to stay and play in the park and enjoy free hotdogs.

For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department at (334) 595-0800.
