Due to the resignation of City Prosecutor Rob Riddle, the City of Prattville is accepting letters of interest and resumes for the appointment of City Prosecutor.

Riddle's law practice, Cleveland & Riddle, will be expanding at the first of the year, which will decrease the amount of time he has for outside endeavors. He will finish out 2014 in his current position.

"It has been a pleasure serving as the prosecutor for the City of Prattville over the past 4 years and I regret having to resign," stated City Prosecutor Rob Riddle. "With this upcoming expansion, 2015 will be a very busy year in my private practice. I felt that this position deserves more time and devotion than I will be able to dedicate during this transition. I am very thankful for the opportunity to serve and will miss working with all the great people at the City."

Qualified individuals must be in good standing with the Alabama State Bar and be duly licensed in Alabama. Applicants must submit a letter of intent and a one-page resume outlining their qualifications and background to the City Clerk between Monday, December 8 and 5 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014.

There will be interviews for this appointed position. Interview dates will be determined with the appointment process anticipated by the second City Council meeting in February.

If you require any additional information or have questions, please direct them to City Clerk Cathy Dickerson at or (334) 595-0121.
