Prattville is gearing up for its third annual Back to School Dance to get families excited about starting back to school the following week. The event will be held on Saturday, August 18th at the Pratt Park Amphitheatre from 6-9pm. There will be food vendors on site and live music provided by Once over Twice. Admission is free.

"This is the last weekend before school begins in Autauga County. Our dance provides an opportunity for residents to get together and celebrate the end of a great summer while looking forward to the upcoming school year", said Kellie Cook, City of Prattville's Special Events Director. "We chose to hold the event at Pratt Park this year after it was unofficially named America's Favorite Park in a recent grant contest," she continued.

The City of Prattville has provided families with fun, free alternatives to pricey events all summer, including the movie under the stars and the 4th of July activities and this is just one more event it plans to offer the community. There will be more than just a concert for on goers to enjoy. There will also be a children's fun area with a variety of bouncy slides and inflatables to keep the children entertained during the night.
