The City of Prattville is pleased to announce that Prattville’s spiritual leaders will be honored as Grand Marshals at the Annual Christmas Parade on December 2. Pastors, priests, bishops, reverends and other spiritual leaders are asked to join us for this annual holiday event. If you are a Prattville spiritual leader and would like to participate in the parade, please contact the Special Events office at 334-595-0854 no later than November 29.

The parade will be held on Friday, December 2, and will roll through Downtown Prattville, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Simply Amazing Christmas is the theme and participants will decorate with the idea of what Christmas means to them, a special Christmas memory, a favorite Christmas carol, even a favorite Christmas toy. Lineup for the parade starts at 5:30 p.m. and applications are available by visiting the event page on this website or calling the Special Events Office.

The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Monday, November 28, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and promises to have fun surprises for all ages. In addition to the beautiful 30’ tree and the amazing array of lights, the event will have music, dancers, children’s activities, fun characters, and, of course, a visit from Santa. The Prattville Pops and Community Chorus will perform Christmas carols for a perfect sing-a-long with everyone. Santa will arrive after the tree is lit to visit with the children. Parents are encouraged to bring your cameras to get pictures with Santa and to capture other special moments throughout the evening.

For parade applications or for more information about these events, contact the Special Events Office at 334/595-0854.
