In an effort to bring more attention to Pratt Pool, Mayor Bill Gillespie has authorized a fun event for Memorial Day.

"Last summer, due to necessary budget cuts, Pratt Pool was only open 1 day a week to citizens for open swim," stated Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr. "I'm pleased to announce that this season Pratt Pool will be open on Fridays from Noon to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The City of Prattville would also like to do something fun for our pool patrons so we're holding a "Pratt Pool Goes Retro for a Day!" party. "

As best as we can determine, the last time a hot dog cost a quarter was the summer of 1947...so Pratt Pool is going retro, revisiting that time in history. On Memorial Day, May 28th, admission to the pool will be 25 cents per person. We will also be cooking hot dogs and those will be sold for a quarter each.

Come join us in supporting the city pool and bringing awareness of this amenity to our community.
