City of Prattville Municipal Court to Offer Amnesty Program

During the month of July, the City of Prattville Municipal Court will be offering a one-time, good faith amnesty program to those who owe the city long-standing debts using a payment plan, without penalty of law, meaning that person’s warrant will be canceled.

Mayor Bill Gillespie said participants who meet the requirements can rest assured that they will not be arrested because part of the intention is to keep them out of jail.

Participants must be prepared to pay 25% of the amount owed or $250 - whichever one is greater.

Collection dates are as follows:

  • Saturday, July 16th, 8 a.m.-Noon
  • Monday, July 18th, Municipal Court will remain open until 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 21st, Municipal Court will remain open until 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 23rd, 8 a.m.-Noon
  • Monday, July 25th, Municipal Court will remain open until 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 28th, Municipal Court will remain open until 7 p.m.
