Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr., the City of Prattville, and the merchants and business owners of Prattville Downtown Unlimited (PDU) will once again help children celebrate an afternoon of trick-or-treating, on Friday, October 28, 2011.

Toddlers through second-graders may trick-or-treat from 4:00-6:00 p.m.; the walk begins at Prattville City Hall. All children who are participating in the event are asked to bring a non-perishable canned food to be donated to Autauga Interfaith Care Center (AICC).

There will be a free “movie under the stars” immediately following the Candywalk. The Halloween classic “Casper” will be shown on an inflatable movie screen on the Creekwalk behind City Hall. Food vendors will be on site, but families are welcome to bring picnic baskets, chairs, and blankets.

Halloween will be observed on Monday, October, 31, 2011 with recommended hours of trick-or-treating between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.
