2020 Poll Workers

The City of Prattville is in need of additional Poll Workers for the Municipal Election to be held August 25, 2020 and the Run-off Election, if needed, to be held October 6, 2020. 

To become a Poll Worker, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an active registered voter and reside within the city limits of the City of Prattville
  • Attend training prior to the election as required by the Code of Alabama
  • Be able to work 14-15 hours on Election Day 
  • Not related to any candidate or his/her spouse to the second degree

Poll Workers are compensated by the City of Prattville for their service. Chief Inspectors will be paid $150 and poll workers will be paid $125.00 for the day. The City also provides lunch for all Poll Workers.

The City will provide personal protective equipment for all Poll Workers in compliance with CDC guidelines relating to COVID-19. 

All Poll Workers must report to their assigned voting location no later than 6:30 a.m. on election morning. The polls close at 7:00 p.m. After the last voter has completed the voting process, Poll Workers will complete reports, package materials, and prepare all materials for return to City Hall at 101 West Main Street.

Once appointed by the City Council as a Poll Worker for the Municipal Election, you will receive a letter notifying you of your appointment and informing you of the date and time of the training.
